LUNA
Michael Bryant · Nottingham trent university
The ‘Luna’ lamp is designed for Camira® 3D knit utilising the capabalities of technical knitting throughout its design to create a contemporary and atmospheric lighting solution.
The dual denisity fabric allows for split diffusion of light hiding the bulb in the lower section and allowing for bright voluminous light to flow out of the top, following the shape of the lamp.
The design is informed by space age satellites and rockets from which the product derives its name, Luna, being the very first man made object to exit our atmosphere. Luna is designed for the home and intended to add character to domestic interiors, not to simply blend in with its surroundings.

About
I would describe my style as minimal and form driven, with a focus on the atmospheric impact of an object upon the space it inhabits.
